FEATURED INNOVATOR | Children’s Creativity Museum
As the featured Innovator for November 2013 and April 2014, I taught kinetic sculpture and electronics workshops at the Innovation Lab at the Children’s Creativity Museum in San Francisco.
NOVEMBER 2013: Kinetic Bug Jars with Colleen Paz
Participants will get an introduction to basic electronics through the assembly of kinetic insects. Using basic components, the participants will create blinking fireflies, fluttering butterflies, and buzzing bees that they can take home with them. The investigation will demonstrate how batteries, LEDs, motors and switches work together in simple circuits.
APRIL 2014: Simple Circuits with Colleen Paz
Learn basic electronics while creating kinetic sculptures! Participants will build objects that move, light up and make sounds, demonstrating how batteries, LEDs, motors and switches work together in simple circuits. (Ages 6-12)
